This week has been friendship week in Cwmclydach Primary School. We have spent much time thinking about the qualities of good friends and have considered how we can be the best friends we can possibly be!
We kick started our week with a buddy afternoon where two classes were buddied together to complete a range of activities. Our class was buddied with Reception and we had a wonderful afternoon of parachute and board games, biscuit decorating, planting, photography and painting!
On Tuesday we had a special visit from a friend of our school, he brought with him a number of different kinds of birds of prey. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about each of them and some of us were even lucky and brave enough to hold them!
Thoughout the week we have considered some of the similarities and differences between us and our friends. We enjoyed finding out new things about each other and it was very interesting getting to know our class mates even more! We enjoyed celebrating these similarities and differences and learnt that it is these differences that make us special and make us who we are!! Each of us unique and perfect just as we are!
Mr Dacey and Miss Lewis set us a number of different challenges thoughout the week- each class were rewarded for their good behaviour and collectively as a school, working together and being our very best we were rewarded with golden time! (Providing our whole school chains, made up of each class chain met the target set!)
It has surely been a fantastic end to a great term. Diolch to everyone for their hard work all term- have a wonderful Easter break, keep safe and I look forward to seeing you all for another term of fun on the 14th of April!
