For the final week of spring term the whole school took part in friendship week. Mr Dacey decided that for every act of kindness and friendship that was spotted by somebody, a strip of paper was to be added to our class paper chain. Mr Dacey set us lots of challenges; in the first challenge we had to work together as a school and join up all the classes paper chains to reach from one side of the hall to the other. For every completed challenge the whole school would have golden time for the remainder of the session. We won every single challenge that was set! Well done Cwmclydach.
We also took part in a buddy afternoon with Dosbarth Arian. We each had a buddy and took part in lots of fun activities; we thought about the similarities and differences of ourselves and our buddies. We designed a jigsaw puzzle piece, created a dove of peace using our fingerprints, read with our buddies and answered lots of questions with the toss and talk ball. The afternoon was a great success and we can't wait until we get to work with our buddies again.
On Tuesday we had birds of prey in school. We learned all about where they came from and lots of other interesting facts. Some of us even had a chance at holding a kestrel.
Take a look at some of our portraits we drew of our friends!
As well as being friendship week, we have also been taking part in Easter activities. We have all made an Easter card and taken part in our annual Easter Egg hunt. It was really fun and we all got a prize :) A great end to a great term. Well done Dosbarth Oren! Have a lovely Easter break, see you back safe and well on the 14th April.
