The School Council have decided as part of their School Action Plan they are going to help a school in Delhi. This school was noticed by our head teacher Mr. Dacey when it appeared on sky news a number of weeks ago. The school does not have a classroom and students are taught sat under a bridge by the teacher scribing on the wall. We have sent letters to parents asking for old school jumpers and hoodies that we can send so they will feel a sense of belonging and all look the same. There is a recycling box in reception if anyone has any old jumpers.
We have also decided that the money we raise for Children in Need this year will be sent to Delhi to help this school. We are asking all children to wear onesies or warm pyjamas to school and pay a pound and also we will be selling cakes and glow sticks at 50p. We are very excited to see how much money we can raise this year and we will keep you updated on our progress.
