Year 6 enjoyed helping prepare for the Tonypandy parade taking place Saturday 22nd September.
Here is a selection of photos from our recent London visit to the Houses of parliament and the London Eye Last Tuesday was a very important day at Cwmclydach. We held a special Remembrance assembly at the school with Father Philip Lyshon of St. Thomas church leading the proceedings. The veterans of war also joined us for a very solemn occasion. Miss Howells and her class had compiled a very moving video which reminded us of why we remember. As we are remembering 100 years since World War 1, to make the day extra special, we all dressed up in war time costumes and held a street party in the hall following the special assembly.
A few weeks ago staff in Cwmclydach Primary school versed past pupils from our school. Of course the younger ones beat the staff!!!! It was an amazing match if you weren't,, there, you should have been there. You missed a great match. Mr Ryland was hogging the ball, Miss May was running like the wind, Mr Dacey was giving it his all, Mrs Edwards token the gaolie out straight away. At the end it was 7-1 to the past pupils but it doesn't matter who wins its the taking part that counts. And what's more we raised money to help repair the vandalism in the school during the Summer holidays.
