St David's Day was so much fun this year! As usual we all came to school in our St David's day outfits and we all looked fantastic. When we got to school we were divided into our St David's Day houses- 'The Blues', 'The Dragons', 'The Ospreys' and 'The Scarletts'. We spent the day doing a carousel of activities across the Year One and Year Two classrooms. We decorated biscuits using the colours of the Welsh flag, we created stories about St David using Book Creator, we painted hand print Welsh dragons and we made hand print daffodils. We also enjoyed watching the KS2 children doing some Welsh folk dancing, a flower dance and the chairing of the bard. We even had a home cookery competition and the infant first prize winner was in our class! Take a look at some of our pictures below.
As part of our preparations for St David's Day we painted a class canvas. The design was created by a very artistic little girl in our class as part of her homework over half term.
