We had so much fun today as we celebrated Roald Dahl Mischief and Mayhem Day! We all looked fantastic dressed up as characters from Roald Dahl's books. We had 2 Mr Twits, 6 oompa lompas, lots of Charlie Buckets and 2 enormous crocodiles. We spent the morning working on our 'Big Writing' which had a Roald Dahl theme, made some gruesome Mr Twit beards then we had a webcast with Lucy Dahl and Michael Rosen. We watched some of "Matilda" the musical live and had a sneak preview of the new musical of 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". It was so much fun! We then explored some best bits of Roald Dahl's films.

Well we have had such a busy week that we have not had time to post! What with learning how to animate using iStopmotion on the iPad and looking at our targets we have been busy, busy, busy. Today we have been working hard on our literacy, looking at a fantasy story and reading for clues. We had to read the text carefully and had to try to think whether the question was a quick question or a thinking question. We all tried very hard. This afternoon we went to vote on the polling station. We had to decide on who would be our representatives on the school council and eco-school council. The results will be known on friday. I wonder who they will be? The learning detectives from our class today worked this afternoon on LEGO Mindstorm. They had to build the robot first. What do you think?
Wow! Those school holidays went quick and today we all came back to our new class. We had lots of fun today with lots of discussions and jobs allocated for the term. We will all be very busy! This afternoon we had a visit from 'Super Attender' who came to remind us about coming to school on time and he taught us a new song and dance. The teachers had to learn the dance too but we think they enjoyed it too much. Miss set us a challenge this afternoon. We had to work as a team to build the tallest tower we could. We could only use spaghetti and marshmallows. It was really hard but we worked really well together, listened to each other and had to solve lots of problems, especially when the tower collapsed. We wonder what tomorrow will bring...
