This week we have been looking at fables. we started the week by reading different fables and identifying the features of that type of story. We then worked in groups to act out one of the fables that we read. We changed the story a little bit by adding extra characters or changing them.
We found out that fables try to teach us a lesson about life such as it's bad to lie or you shouldn't brag about how good you are to people. The characters in the stories are often animals that have human characteristics or traits. Lions are often brave and Foxes are sneaky.
Today we are writing our own fables during Big Write. This afternoon we are going into Dosbarth Oren to share our fables with the younger children.
