What amazing start to the year Dosbarth Arian has had! We came back to school to a brand new classroom and with a fantastic attitude to our learning.
We have worked extremely hard over the past two weeks on a variety of tasks, ranging from 'Getting to know each other' to 'WW1'. Read on to see what we've been up to.

We've been doing lots of welsh this week concentrating on our hobbies. We especially enjoyed playing splat and thinking of actions to help us remember the language.
PE this week was based on a 1960s dance party. We loved looking at the different moves and exploring how we could adapt them for our paired task. 'The Twist' was definitely the most popular among the class!
We took part in a class investigation this week to find out how many 6 digit numbers we could make from using only 2 single digits. It was a difficult task to make sure that we didn't duplicate our numbers but we persevered and completed the challenge! Well done to us!
As it is 100 years since World War One we started our study of the war this week by looking at these three questions:
We researched the First World War both at home and at school and then gave our written responses. The next step was to record our responses using the IPads. We all worked very hard to make sure our recordings were our best as they were being judged for a very special competition. The competition was for a trip to London for four children to see the Tower Of London filled with 888,246 ceramic poppies! We were all very excited to find out who had won the competition and the judges said that picking a winner was an extremely difficult task. Well done to our winners!!
- Why do we remember?
- Why is 100 years significant?
- What do we do to remember?

Rules and expectations are extremely important to us in Dosbarth Arian so we decided to come up with some with what we think is expected of us. Once we had agreed on the most important rules we then went on to discuss the question 'What makes a good teacher?' Now we all know what is expected of us!
Well... as you can see we've had a very busy and enjoyable first two weeks in Dosbarth Arian, but... there's always time for birthday cake! We have celebrated three birthdays this week! Penblwydd hapus to you all! Have a lovely weekend and here's to another great week next week!
