Yet another busy week in Dosbarth Gwyn, we have enjoyed exploring our class text "Bills New Frock" in more depth and have enjoyed thinking about persuasive language when forming debates as a class; remembering the importance of providing reasons for our opinions in order to encourage others to agree with us.
We have thoroughly enjoyed exploring new vocabulary in our Welsh lessons this week. We have been focusing on the language pattern "Wyt ti eisiau mynd..." As part of our gwyliau topic. This week we have enjoyed playing battleships, zap and ping pong to help us learn names of countries. We have written scripts and acted in the role of travel agents and customers to plan holidays to a range of destinations.
Our maths focus this week has been multiplication, we have been learning the 8 times table and have been learning to use the grid method to help us solve problems when multiplying 2 and 3 digit numbers by a single digit. We have continued to enjoy our quick maths sessions, where we have had lots of opportunity to practice our maths skills by solving a variety of problems, both working independently and collaboratively with a partner.
In science our topic is "Living things and their environments". This week we have been learning about branching keys to help us sort and identify different animals. We had great fun planning our own examples outdoors with our groups.
Da iawn Dosbarth Gwyn for another super week!
