We started this week with a look at the book, "The Dragon Machine' by Helen Ward. We loved the story all about George. We worked in groups to reflect on the story and to pull apart the story into sections. We presented our ideas to the class. We could not wait to work on narrative story writing this week. We also worked with pupils in KS2 to come up with some ideas for the Eco-school committee. We mind mapped our ideas on how we could improve and build on the work we have been doing to improve our school environment.
This week we have been looking at historical facts and in particular creating timeline of events. We presented our historical event of the last 100 years to the class. Some of us made models, pop up books, written accounts which we all enjoyed hearing about. We then put the events in order so we could see the chronology. We had events from 1905 until 2001, from colliery disasters to 9/11.
On friday, during our Big Writing session, we received a parcel from @CodeClub. We are very fortunate as they have chosen us to be a Star Code club which is a great honour. Only a few clubs have been chosen to be star code clubs. The parcel included three Raspberry Pi, a star code club trophy, a coding book and lots of stickers. We cannot wait to start working more with the Raspberry Pi.
